All this time
I've toed the line
'twixt dark and lightand held the night
to be a placeof barren space
knowing notthat though my thoughts
were dark and denseand couldn't sense
the starlit calmit held a balm
as thick as lightthough aught was bright
in all the caveswhere I have laid
pressed uponand far from dawn
all the landof salt and sand
deserts vastI've ambled past
dried-out bonesand pillow stones
yet in the darka gentle spark
illuminatesthe one who waits
I always knewI ran from You
but did not ratea size so great
that though I rantoward any land
I'd always run to You
